South Island RAG – Fri 1st – Sun 3rd November
This year’s awesome Rally is being held in the small West Coast town of Light, Reefton. It has this nickname as it was the first town in New Zealand (and the Southern Hemisphere) to switch on electric street lighting. Originally named Reef Town, this quickly became known as Rest Town, quite handy for weary motorcyclists.
We are planning a road ride and two gravel routes (catering for different levels of enthusiasm).
The accommodation is left for you to book as you choose. There’s plenty of choice to please all budgets and comfort – you pay directly for what you want.
The group dinner for all will be on Friday evening It will be a fundraising 2-course BBQ put on by the local school, with plenty of meat choices, salads & dessert. (Please advise of any special dietary requirements & we will do our best)
The Dawsons Hotel say they can cater for a bunch of us turning up on Saturday for our evening meals. You pay directly for Saturday evening.

BMWMC Members = $30 each
Non-Members = $60 each
Friday’s BBQ = $40 (Club subsidised)
