in reply to: Which GPS? #10992The Garmin maps are very accurate but what I suspect reofix means is that if a road is upgraded, say a roundabout is removed and replaced with traffic lights it will still tell you there is a roundabout there unless you have the very latest update on your GPS and these are pretty expensive to upgrade.My Quest for instance when I go along the newish Highbrook Drive to the motorway from East Tamaki tells me to turn around as it shows me riding over water but as soon as I get over the new road it sorts itself out.

in reply to: mounting radar detectors #10962My first one for the 1150GS was a bit of bent plastic velcroed on to the bars, but I went a bit flash on the 1200 and made a nice aluminium one.To expensive to buy these made to measure ones. 🙂If you have a tank bag just bung it in there as some of the guys do, works just as well and hidden from view too.
