It's a step too far for me. Too big for NZ roads, just like all the other mega cruisers. Besides, it's ugly.

Yep, love my Scalarider. Good sound quality from the FM radio, good comms between helmets (up to at least 300 metres), good reception with my bluetooth cellphone.Hoo roo

The guys at Jeff Grays are nice guys, but lack the experience on the big twins.Jimmy at Bavarian Motorcycle Services is a BMW Motorrad trained mechanic. He's a sarcastic bugger, but great to deal with.Try him. We get our work bikes done at Jeff Grays becuas the lease says we have to. If we had a choice, Jimmy would be servicing them.Ka kitePete

Nope on the Gen 4, but the Scala Rider set I have (bluetooth) eats the Baehr set on my work helmet. So much so that I've now got a CARDO headset in my sries 5 helmet in addition to the Baehr set the employer makes me use.Just my experience.Ta ra.

These things are trash. Mine delaminated too. The money is being refunded, but that doesn't help when you are in Twizel with the nearest replacement in Christchurch.

Nice counter-steer in the second pic. Good technique.

Randomly, I have lived in Belmont, Takapuna, Devonport, Glenfield and Sunnynook. This was all pre Madass, I have lived down here for a few years.Yup, the MAdass is just the beasty for cruising to Sierra Coffee in Hurstmere Rd.

Can't believe you gave up a Sachs MadAss to ride the 650. The MadAss is fun factor, if not the coolest bike on 2 wheels.I had an 800ST, it had serious cool factor, but looked a bit too metrosexual for me. I don't wax my legs, so the 800 had to go.Ka kite a popo.

Okay, just back from the doctors. The loud bang was a backfire, although it sounded like it came from the engine, not the exhaust. The wheezing arose because the backfire blew the fuel injector out. Yes, BLEW THE FUEL INJECTOR OUT.So the RT is back on the road, all I have to do now is wonder when it will happen again.Sigh.

Yes, company vehicle. Funny, when the bang happened it sounded like a shotgun going off, and everyone in the bust gas station forecourt ducked for cover !!
