Who would chase you for the ACC levies? New Zealand Transport Agency, or the Civil Aviation Authority?

Yes, and the 800R would have used far less gas too.Humbug

Best pies in the world……………easy………………..hands down……………….Point Hotel, Morrison Street, Edinburgh. Just east of Haymarket.Used to get a pie with mash, peas and gravy, and a pint of Guinness, for under 5 quid. 2001/2002, every Friday lunchtime with the lads from the office I worked in.It's a big commute though.

I finally got the gizzmo fitted today. Yes it fits in about 90 seconds.

Which version did you get? Compact or extended?CheersNeil

It's obviously the extended one. It has two zz's in gizzmo.

Beginning to think of the CANBUS as a Can't Bus.I'll have a look at the Touratech thingy. Looks like what I need. Cheaper too.

Really smoothe, I wish to report. It's not snatchy at all. Unlike the first F800 I had. I loved that one too, but this one runs heaps better, and the BoosterPlug is probably the reason.

My flashers on my 1999 lebben fiddy GS wouldn't go away, flashing alternately. I was about to buy a new sensor, but then someone told me the brakes needed to be reset. That done, I'mm good to go again.Don't know if your brakes are similar, maybe they just need to be reset.

Had a 2007 F800ST a couple of years back. I loved it, but it was quite snatchy at lower speeds.I'm picking up a 2009 model tomorrow, it has a BoosterPlug. The owner tells me the plug has smoothed the whole ride out, so it will be interesting to see.I'll report back. ::)

Have a look over on the Kiwibiker forum. This has stirred up a storm. The only issue I have with it is that there are no points for a red light offence, or for not wearing your seatbelt. Now, THOSE are things that deserve demerits, not fund raising things like the Acc levy.Just my thoughts.

One Rockster on TM just now, and a few more KM than I'm looking for. Looks cool though. My first personal BMW was a 2007 F800ST, and maybe that's exactly what I'm heading back to. Fuel economy, cheaper servicing (clutch etc), it's just a bit more metrosexual than the R1150GS I have. I'm clearly not man enough for the GS, so moving on is me.It takes a while to realise what your needs in a bike are. The F800 I used to have was damn fine, but Charley and Ewan made me yearn for parts of myself that, on reflection, don't exist.Sigh.

There is a lot of Tupperware on an RT. All that stuff needs to be taken off for service and if the thing tips over on anything but a flat surface, there will be carnage. But hey, what do I know, I don't ride one at work, I am just good at dropping stuff.

You know the important stuff. You may have guessed that I lie the bike down occasionally too. Normally very low speed, so just annoying damage. In light of what the posters have said, I think I'll just go back to loving my GS. The Tupperware on the RT would drive me nuts with scrapes on it.When you have a lie down on a work bike, the crash bars protect most of the tupperware. Good thing really. It's a numbers game, the more you ride a bike the more likely that you'll have a lie down. Shouldn't be that way, but it is.Thanks all.
