They're OK, the bike is a new BMW, so is still under warranty.

“thanks to your advice I'd decided to go with this idea:                                                km    time1   20/01/12   taupo   307           4242                   taupo                  3                   whanganui           253   3.484                   nelson           106   8.13"It would have to be Wanganui* to Wellington; [Cook Strait Crossing] Wellington to Picton: (These are the only ports with ferry links.) Then, Picton to Nelson. *City is called Wanganui; River is called Whanganui. A recent change of official spelling has many people using both. But they sound the same, basicly.

“goldenbay/colliwood or coromandel peninsula?”  Do the Collingwood option; less traffic, Farewell Spit is quite unique."pipiriki-whanganui?"  Gravel road. Yes very OK. Historic.

Benvenuti nel nostro sito e Nuova Zelanda,I belong to http://www.bmw-cruiser.it/  But have the lauguage problem! (I have an R1200C) I have questions for you!Are you a seasoned rider and your wife? There is a lot of riding to do in your maps! How many kilometres do you ride in a day? I would do 400km max when touring.Example: The trip around East Cape took us 3 night from Whakatane to Gisborne. From Napier to Wellington about 5 hours. On the map, why not go up (or Down) on the red route? It is a main highway and starts from downtown Auckland by going over the Harbour bridge.Remember, January and Febuary is holiday time and school holidays are on: Have you got accomodation sorted? Here is some links you may be interested in: http://www.clubgaribaldi.org.nz/http://www.ginas.co.nz/homepage.aspx (You got to go here. I have wonderful memories of this restuarant.)

“ … …. a large portion of the membership are not interested in the running of the club and are happy to take part in local runs and maybe the odd annual rally.”"...... the vast majority of the membership have very basic demands of the register..." I'll endorse that. I did it myself for a number of my former years. No worries about consitutions or organization.

Quote:      “…now that a coupla other Area Reps are using the calendar.”Actually, I'd like to see a folder (?) for each Area. Then the local stuff is grouped and "sorted".

(Famous last words:)When I took possession of the Z3 & the dealer handed me the key, "BTW, there is only one key." Didnt take too long to research the key situation: Plain key opens door, boot & glovebox only.
