I paid $240 for this Metzler retailing at $279. My odo is 113,470, so we are about the same. My bike has been very faithful.
in reply to: Suspension servicing and suggestions #17567In the forum tradition, a big welcome and see you on the road perhaps.
in reply to: Yet More Change. #17539Ahh, Gisborne: Jail motor camp, great wine area, 30 Btn, Springboard to East Cape. I must go back. (On a Beemer!)
in reply to: Fuel economy #17478Surely you mean; “I'm curious to know the repair costs of the K1600GT that fills up with diesel…”You had me running to Google and, there is no diesel engine.
in reply to: BMW NZ and Motomart – kudos #17444Just coming back to Motomart kudos…I bought a couple of O ring gasket things for the oil filling cap assembly. They fitted them for me after the purchase for no charge. Great stuff.
in reply to: Newish member from Papakura #17434Welcome back to the N.I. If you want to clock up some kilometres, go down SH 2 and switch into SH 5 at Napier and return through Taupo and Waikato. If it's back roads you want, a study of a map should provide.
in reply to: The Galaxy Custom R1200R #17425Malcolm's link is same, but my link opens up the bike page.Oh, the bike was chopped in Bulgaria!

in reply to: BMW"s feature on "The Force" #16996Well, all I can say is…On the promo where evrything is flash fast (if you blink you miss it) Then they looked like BMW's.Sorry about that.
in reply to: Interesting unit #16605$23,000 would buy a nice BMW. Without the sidecar!
in reply to: BMW"s feature on "The Force" #16990How about:"The Force" is a reality series featuring Australian police forces. Sometime a story may feature drug squad or rescue. The show next week will feaure the bikes. So it's a story of the bikes in the force, rather that BMW bikes.
in reply to: RIDE TO THE AGM #16974“its a long way for a meeting.” Yawn….Once apon a time I used to love travelling to New Plymouth, or Tauranga or where-ever. to attend an AGM. Remember the saying, "It's not the destination, it's the getting there." It seems to have been lost lately!(See U there, Rich!)
in reply to: Membership numbers #16965I saw that before I retired. I has a new meaning now.
