Gosh, those last 3 photos are gems. Tharon, shoulda chain sawed the Give Way sign! (No, on second thoughts, you might end up in jail!) The Gore house reminds me of one I took near Marton and the Church should have been restored adapted and lived in.I'a away this weekend travelling; will keep an eye out.

This thread idea has been on Chromeheads for a while.(BMW Cruisers.) If you are right into the old houses thing, there is some good interesting stuff there.http://www.chromeheads.org/discus/messages/8/180720.html?1174200325

This one is at the top of the Taihape deviation SH 1: Where the intersection to Napier (Gentle Annie) is. I remember it from 30 years ago when it was used as shearer's quarters.

Just north of Ashhurst is the ever popular Irish cafe/pub “The Waterford Cafe.” Look to your left (West) to find this building on your way north.

This one is on the Paekakariki Hill Road, not to far from the Battle Hill Farm Forest Park.

Sounds a good move! Colder, but the rides are better. Looks like South West Coast in the above photos. Most of us “locals” don't make the move 'cause of family ties. Dave

Why should Tobacco building be pulled down? It's one of Napier's Art Deco drawcards and is a local icon.

Try a Google on “decal” and see if you have any luck. There are a number of companies in the States that have a vast array of products. I had a Google on daecals and transfers myself about a year ago.

'Cept they need to pay attention to the BMW badge at the front of the bike. That annoys me!

Road works are “popular” at this time of the year too.
