in reply to: Funeral for a friend #8875Here's a timely reminder for those of us on long trips during this summer break; vis the ride to Alexandria.
in reply to: Abandoned weatherboard buildings -Post them here- #5218I have been watching that house for years; I am now expecting it to topple in the next storm. There was a car (perhaps a Chevy Fleetmaster) on the North (blind) side.
in reply to: How is this for a BMWral #4983Good excuse for a ride. Post the info…
in reply to: Photobucket #8255Good question. I minimize them and when the PC is switched off; they've gone!
in reply to: BMW Success at Oschersleben #8253That's a great photo, too.
in reply to: Gull force 10 or E10 #8209I wont be using it! The BMW engineers did not design the engine for this fuel. ipso facto.Better the devil you know, than the one you don't!Look what happened last time they tinkered with the fuel. I remember seeing on TV a Jaguar "E" Type just 'chassis-up' restored, and the fuel had totally wrecked the new paint.
in reply to: BMWOR newsletter comes to an end????? #7957Membership Secretary has a record (of sorts) of airhead owners. Don't know if he can “sort” that info. but it is in the database. If I were editor, I might search the web and find links to tech items and see if permission could be sought for regular/occasional use in the Register newsletter, under an "Airheads" heading. (I will not be standing in October!)Sue wrote earlier, "A lot of discussion about the costs, has anyone checked with other printing companies the cost to produce our Newsletter?"When I took up editor, I got 3 quotes (Work for Govnmt.) I chose the best one then. After a name change, they are now Print Stop. This company was recommended from yet another earlier editor. This was pre Register web site days. As it turned out when the current editor took office, we carried on with the folding/mail out responsibility and we continued to use the same printer.
in reply to: New Member Intro… #8203Welcome aboard too. Hope to see you at the Taupo AGM.
in reply to: new membership card #8093What a great card. It really is up to a BMW expectation now. Big thank you to John Baker and Experience. (Henry is not into computers!)Membership Secy will be happy - no RSI writing them out now.
in reply to: BMWOR T-Shirts (another batch?) #8111You're well involved now, Koko! What colour is the R1200C bike, pse!! Potentually ordering 2.
in reply to: Hello from Bavaria, Germany! #7907Welcome Rudi. Trust me: There is absolutely nothing wrong with your written English!.Nice to have a signed up subscriber outside of the Register and country.
in reply to: BMWOR newsletter comes to an end????? #7910I think the result on this poll will be skewed.Members who are not registered with this site or don't have internet will not be able to vote for "hardcopy" option! I unashamedly vote for (B&W) hardcopy.
in reply to: Ewan and Charlie to Undertake the ‘Long Way Down #7714I'll look forward to that one! I imagine it's at least ayear away to screen here, given it is a successful programme.
