been away from the site for a week. Accomodation recommendations great idea. Biker freidly is important. i.e. lSecure or out of sight.Country pubs are a great choice. Locals don't get to see BMW's much and they are a talking point. Tikokino SH50 and Te Puia Springs East Cape are two good places; cheap and good (but basic) food.

Also the Sundowner Motel. Stayed there just last Wednesday. Very new motel just over the bridge on Smith Street. Out of sight parking around the back. Do a google for Sundowner Greymouth.

Noticed this building a couple of trips back. It's just north of Horowhenua's Manakau as you go over the railbridge.A neighbour said a lot of people photograph it; she'd seen it deteriate over the last 20 years.

First: IS THE BIKE UNDER WARRANTY?? Don't touch it!Don't know the F800 engine at all, but in generic terms, can you get the right sort of wire up through the drain hole and hook the offending piece over to it? Or is it in line with the dipstick opening? Perhaps a pice of gum on the end may stick to it. Don't let the gum drop off, but.
