Now you're talking, that's a ride worth making whatever the reason for going.

Perhaps you should try getting more sleep, the old brain functions better.  I'd like to see you on the exec  ;D

No thanks Steve, it's been in the family twice now and I think we've done our dash. However I don't think I've seen your name in lights before?

Good news Darryl. All remits passed. Just need a new Treasurer. 🙂

Since the old one spat the dummy and resigned I would have thought the call for a replacement would have gone out fairly quickly.  Actually he's still showing up on the contact list?

Hey Neil, we went down on the GS  🙂 even with the shitty weather and a forgettable meeting we had a good ride.  Something I did find about my Trax panniers though.  Sooooo wide I clouted the right hand box with my boot and put a small dent in the top.  Have adapted my getting on technique for when I have the boxes on but in the meantime I have wondered about some reinforcing stuck on the inside of the lid? Of course you have longer legs than me so it may not have happened. Hope youre coping with the weather down there, not much skiing happening I guess.

Can't be sure but definitely Nelson, Wellington, Rangitikei, East Coast, BOP, Auckland.  Not a good turnout with only a tad over 50 members at the meeting.

Lovely machine, congratulations.  I bet you had a mile wide smile on the ride up from the Garden City ;D

Well as you're aware I thought that was a genuine Ooooops and warranted a prize. I certainly don't think some poor bugger falling off his bike and breaking his collar bone is really an ooooops rather a very unfortunate accident.  But Gerrard smiled graciously and accepted the prize, good one G.

Thanks Grem, that would explain why the dew drop on the end of my nose had turned to an icicle  😮

Oooops David, you'll be in trouble – we can't have anonymous posts on this forum now can we  ::)Anyway hope you and Cheryl got home safely keeping dry and warm in the rag top.  We had a good trip, cold and a little wet and windy but satisfying.  Even had to ask for some old newspapers when we stopped in Waiouru for a drink which was a lifesaver with only 4 degrees showing on the dial and the wind chill probably making it zero.  Can't  beat the old newspaper down the front of the jacket in cold conditions.  As for our first decent ride on the F800GS I have to say after some minor surgery with the electric carving knife to the front part of the seat and a sheepskin for Jean the bike is a very comfortable touring machine as well as everything else it does so well.See you at the Rally.

Welcome Johan, we have a couple of rides planned soon (see Auckland Child Board) which will give you the opportunity to meet with members and try out the new wheels.  They both have a gravel option so you can explore the handling characteristics before putting on more aggressive tyres.

Hi Daff, does the ST also have an accessory socket with waterproof cap on the outside of the bike similar to the GS which is to the left of the ignition key.

Thanks Scotty, so impressive.  I had to cut and run early so missed this last flight.  Had I known they were going to do this I'd have waited for sure.

"its a long way for a meeting." Yawn....Once apon a time I used to love travelling to New Plymouth, or Tauranga or where-ever. to attend an AGM. Remember the saying, "It's not the destination, it's the getting there." It seems to have been lost lately!(See U there, Rich!)

Once upon a time we were younger and fitter, well I was anyway Dave  🙂 but never one to ignore a gauntlet I'll see you there, you might even buy me that beer you owe me. 8)
