Don't know a thing about this Alex but….. my daughter has just moved to Beachlands where they have tank water.  She is here with us tonight and she tells me they have 2 sand  filters in the garage where the pump is.  No problems with the water so far.  How much will you save on water bills? long term I'd guess the 3 grand won't look to bad in a few years.Good luck.

That little list at the bottom of your post is growing quite rapidly Rob  😛

Getting side tracked here a little but we went to a tasting of wines from the Surveyor Thomson Winery from Central Otago a month or so ago and Grahame Sydney was there as a special guest.  He spoke about the region and his long association with it.  He donated a copy of his latest book and 3 of his prints which were drawn from a hat of all attending – unfortunately we missed out but had a great evening.

Thanks for the heads up Bruce.  I sympathize with you and can relate totally with your experience at Experience.  It is not good enough but I doubt things will change for a while yet.

Well, Malcolm, that's not exactly a lot out of you, either. But you are right, I can do better :-).Nothing more to say really Alex, I attended, voted ate a lot and had a great old time being in the winning team for the quiz (mind you we had Linda in our team)  🙄

Closer to Tauranga there are some options at the Bethlehem shopping centre, but none that I can particularly recommend.

Don't they sell the best pies in the country at Bethlehem Arne  👿 I called by when we were at the HAN but the queue was round the block so we didn't stop to try their wares.Malcolm

I'm planning to Dave, we were away two weekends ago up to the HOkianga the weekend the strong gales started.  We were thinking of taking the car but decided to take the GS instead – good move.  Talk about blow  😡 no matter we stayed upright and had a great time and are now looking forward to giving the C a work out in a couple of weeks.  By the way I picked up a good set of mufflers from Gordon Lyndsay (member Christchurch) so will have a play with the rusty ones to see if they can be made to play a better tune  👿

Hi Peter, a long shot but I remembered my puncture kit had a little flexible nozzle for using with the small cannisters of compressed air see pic.  It is quite stiff but could be worth a look.
