Yes we're hoping for a late summer Garry  8), unfortunately as we only make it south every couple of years it means we sometimes miss out on some of our favourite OR meets.

I recall it is noted in the latest mag because we will miss out again as we will be in the SI for the Wings over Wanaka at that time. (Late March early April.

Perhaps Neil at Exp might be able to help out Bruce.

I have a tin full of similar but not quite the same design.  All are slightly bigger the closest being 1″1/8″ wide. The manufacturer is ITW FASTEX NZ and they have model numbers so it might be worth giving them a call Garry.

I was looking closely at your luggage Garry when you posted your recent pics.  I've always preferred a soft roll bag on the back just to keep the weight down as it's always an issue touring two up as we do.  However as I'm looking for options for panniers on the 800 I wonder if the Touratech soft luggage will sit over the tail plate to allow a pillion or must it sit on the rear seat.  Also what supports it to keep it off the muffler/paint work.

Pleased to hear you all had a good time today.  Fitting shelves in the laundry for the boss, and hacking in to roots that are pushing the house over meant we had most of the day in but I did want to get over west to Fast Bike Gear to buy some goodies so took the C out via Kohi for a cuppa where I swear we saw young jim ride past on the DR about 3pm?? if so did you get your new rubber jim.

Good news  ;D Bearing and seal are coming north tomorrow! A huge thank you to Malcolm and his friend. A certain Suzuki and its owner went for a ride to Orere Point today and is enjoying telling me. Let's see how she copes carrying her own luggage ha!  😉

Perhaps I should mention said bearing will be travelling in style on a Suzuki Boulevard  ::)

Maybe the urge will wear off in the next thirteen months and eleven days (but who's counting?)

You may not have realized it yet Bruce but it won't go away  :-[.

Looks like I will have to work another year past my Goldcard to afford one, though.

So join the club and dig in for the long haul. ;D

Hi Grem, yes I saw a pic of your GSA and recognized the Top box.  I'm thinking along the lines of a large on the right and a small on the left to balance things up a little.  I already have a Monokey plate with a Maxia top box which I will junk (too big and bulky) and just use the small Trekker as a top box if required.  When away for more than a couple of days I'll use a roll bag on the top plate.  Many thanks for your reply.

I have an Aeroflow on my latest acquisition.  I wasn't all that bothered about it because it is quite imposing but having ridden with it now I'm very impressed with the amount of protection it gives.  I went for a spin around the local block soon after purchase and was half way round before I realized I'd been riding with my visor up and I didn't have my usual ear plugs in – it was quite amazing and I'd rate it very highly.  I still look over the top with ease but the air flow clears my head easily.  I'm about 5'10″ and the top of the screen is 18″ from the top of the large light to the top of the screen.

Hi Fiddy, not sure if your post was related to my question re the beads some time ago but thanks anyway.  I was considering putting them on the C but after stripping and polishing the BBS wheels and putting new rubber on I found they were so close (maximum 10 grams out) I didn't put weights on or use the beads and she's running sweet as  ;D  I have since heard it said they also help with smoothing out vibes at the mirrors if that's a problem so I may get around to throwing some in one day.

I suspect the key might have gone with the panniers eh.
