in reply to: BMWOR website sticker #5863
Cheers, received sticker in the post. White may have worked well on my dark screen but, as it happens, this came out quite well.

You look taller than I remember Dean 😮 😆 😆 😆in reply to: BMW Motorrad wins at Pikes Peak #6038Kiwi Adventure wrote:What bike have you decided on (HP2).
1200GSA nice ride but too big and quite heavy for what I want to do. HP2 a nice option - but need to weigh up dollars there. Will take a look at F800GS (or whatever it's going to end up being called) if and when it arrives, but suspect it won't be what I'm looking for either. For the moment I'm sticking with the Dakar, modifying it bit by bit - it continues to keep me very happy 😆in reply to: BMWOR website sticker #5861Kokopelli wrote:Peter Z. now has the stickers, so let him know if you still want one. Mine will bes tuck on tomorrow :-).
Alex, can you grab one for me please and post to my place.

Where were you? Could have done with the company on the way back.Kokopelli wrote:I bet she would love to have a go, but her skill level will of course not be up to it, plus the low suspension of her bike is not really suitable for more than gravel roads. We will now be able to explore these roads together.
Oi you, exactly what the Kaipara ride is aiming at!! The main route will be perfect for the 650GS, lowered or otherwise. We'll see you both there 😀in reply to: How staunch are you? #5775I like this photo!!
in reply to: Waihi Falls and Makairo Track traverse #6025Alex, a move to Wellington is not such a bad thing 😀 and we’d be delighted to have you join us riding when we make the trek up for the Kaipara Adventure over Labour Weekend.
in reply to: Waihi Falls and Makairo Track traverse #6023Once again, an excellent adventure 😀 😀 😀
Was some pretty gnarly ruts on that track, eh Stephen!!!
Had a great time, good bunch of guys to ride with, let's do it again soon.in reply to: T-Shirt Design Suggestion #5936For the record – I like BMWOR, have never conisdered it warranted to change to anything with “Club” in it. I do recall discussion about this when I was on exec. team and unless someone else re-litigates in future through constitutional channels, which would be necessary, I’m leaving it at that.
Cheersin reply to: T-Shirt Design Suggestion #5933Quite right Alex, the debate has been had. I like the design as it happens.

Looks better than "BMWOR" Other than club members who would know what it means.
BMWOR = BMW Owners Register 😯
Are we back into the debate about changing to BMWMC then ❓Kiwi Adventure wrote:The RT handles gravel great. 8) I’ll join you any time 😉
Dean, I recall a guy who was on one of the earlier BMW Safaris on his R1100RT, was quite a sight but he did some serious damage to undercarriage/plastics etc. We should take you up on your offer of joining us next time we go 🙄
Postie, you're a star mate!!
Aslan and the rest, very enjoyable weekend away, keen to do more often if you're up to it. -
