I am calling for expressions of interest for a ride that takes in the Old Whangamomona Rd & Fischer's track, plus anything that interest us along the way. I am thinking Auckland Anniversary weekend.  23rd to 24th or 24th to 25th. I am flexible. One night should do it, possibly two. It could also be done during the week.I'd say three to 5 riders would be nice. Decent tyres a must, sorry Donald :-). We've got two so far.

I know this is a BMW site but I have a 2000 996 Ducati which runs on unleaded petrol (Ex SA Bike). Speaking to Ducati in Auckland, they say that I can run the bike on 96 unleaded. Does any-one know if this is true as it will be very costly if not

Hi KokopelliI am still in but I only have the standard Dakar tyres not knobblies. Perhaps i will come along and see how I fair and turn around if it gets too bad. I can then meet you somewhere on the other side? What are your feelings, i dont want to hold every-one up

Hi DesamoThanks for the infoIs there a BMW ride on sunday?If there is then perhaps we can discuss this further.If not are you going to do the 42nd ride on friday or are you just going to cruise down and do it on saturday?297kms is not too far for a friday ride after 3.30 (so long as its not raining) So perhaps I could catch up with you guys on friday night

Hi KokopelliI cant get that Friday off but if you happen to change it to the 4/5th them I am in. Alternatively, if you are only going to do the main track on Saturday then perhaps I could leave Friday 3.30 and meet you guys there.I am new to the country so I am not sure of the distances and if I could make the overnight by leaving at 3.30?

Thanks guysGot hold of Tom at Wheels and Spokes and he will fit an excell rim. Just for information the spokes have to be replaced when fitting an excell rim due to the larger holes in the excell rim
