Try round black rubber ones, they work the best. What sort of use is it going to be used for Darryl?.Conti trail attacks for sealed road work,Micheilin Annakee2's for 98% seal 2% gravel or Conti TKC80's for 50/50 use.

The Rev-it gear is good value for the price,if You get one with removable waterproof liners it will double up as a summer jacket. In extreme wet wheather use their hi vz waterproof overjacket. Its the old story You get what You pay for some of the BMW gear does last a long time, devide $2000 purchase price over 10 years and the value is their. Its just getting over the heart attack is the problem.Hope this helps

Hi Daffy ,Hows the back? I don't think You can change it those Germans love their Kpa,if it could change it might end up reading in miles.Just keep it up around 2.5/2.9 bar[cold] F/R and You should be ok.

Conti road attacks work well, good grip and feel good in the wet not bad for tyre life.Road attacks were on sale now Road attack2's are out.Conti motion are cheap if You are not a hard rider, had them on My RT felt OK but front whore flat on the front.Michelin pilot road3 gets very good write ups ,got one on the front of the GS grips very well.Just dont buy Shinko or Full bore Tyres. Cheers

Problem of keeping a bike for a long time[8.5 years] You get attached to it.Its the longest I have ever kept a bike for, like the PD it might have to be a keeper.87000ks and it still feels like new.$28,000 new in 2004 and today You would be lucky to get about $10,000.Dont like the idea of taking $30,000 plus bikes down gravel roads or into the bush.My GS has been over the Motu Steve When it was near new and had to stand in for a gravel tour when the PDs starter failed again.Better go and watch Lotto Those New GSs look the part.

Ridden a DOHC one, Cannot feel any differance with My RT wich has exhaust and filter mods. If You need any more power buy a GT or S and try see how long You can keep points of Your Licence.

Nice looking bike 25 hp and 10nm more torque than My 04 1200 and only 9 more kilos,But what about the new KTM adventure 150hp/125nm and only 230kgs with 23 litres of gas on board,But theres more ,no expensive final drive bills.I note the KTM has the same Tyre size as the new GS or Adventure R with 21 in front wheel .Not sure about 150hp and 90/90-21 front .Ok in the gravel but I cant use all the power of My 60hp GS/PD in the gravel let alone 150 HP!Might have to take them all for good ride?

Steve the RT has heated seats ,You do not need a blanket. Both RTs have 110 hp,the DOHC has 5nm more torque both at 6000 rpm.The 09 model has full Staintune exhaust and k&n filter which adds power. At $10,000 differance You can keep the ST for a get to work wich is ideal.
