Try looking  up S1000 Adventure  on the net. Looks more like  a Multistrada

Wonder how much the New S1000 GT or RS will be? Looks like a S1000R with a fairing and panniers.

I Always replace with heavy duty tubes like Michelin or other h/d tubes a lot thicker and less prone to punctures off road. No need to replace as often as std tubes which are very thin by comparison.A lot more expensive but great value in the long term. Cannot put a price on safety.

I heard they had steering head bearing problems but this must be the worst case yet.

And now Whe have in Canada and USA at least a major recall for fuel pump flange on at least 18 models RT-Ps included, I have 3 bikes on the list, looks like My old airhead is the only one that won't catch fire.

The 2007 1200RT that caught fire in Christchurch falls into that  range of bikes, although the cause of that fire was meant to be positive battery cable touching t frame.  Very hard to tell sometimes when they go up like that. Daffy should be getting a nice new one shortly.

More Power-More speed- More Infringement Tickets -More points. Have You herd there's 4 KPH  Max  tolerance over Dec/Jan period. Watch out the driveline are expensive to fix on those models,  So souping it up would only bring those costs on sooner. Put the money towards a  R1200S/ S1000RR/K1200S if You You need more power. Doing Cams would give more power in the upper rev range and less down low, not ideal for a road bike. Try a K&N or BMC air filter they work well and save the money.

This is what happens when I spend to much time on Trade Me and not riding the bike enough. That's My defence.

Not sure, it will pay to check with Darryl. The ABS I think uses the speedo sensor which slips into the diff. If the part number for ST/GS is the same there should not be a problem. You could always try it, will PM You.

Darryl from Mount M/Cs replaced main bearing in this one, every thing else seemed ok. Had traveled almost 80 Ks when rumble started, Stopped using bike and final drive was replaced.

Check out My add for GS final drive if Rays team cannot fix it. GS ratio a little lower,  top speed might drop but more get up and go.
