the plumber and gasfitter decided that this was the best place, the builder let them make the decision. On the contract plan it was shown in the correct location, apparently it was missing from the building plans. We moved on a few stuff ups since then. We're looking at the way flashings have been installed, the size of the bulkhead above the kitchen, the oil stains on the drive and the latest, a snapped off sizable corner of the drive. Oh, I forgot to mention the wrong oven and tabs. I could really go on here, that's the tip of the iceberg.

Metrics are simple. A really good way of working out what your tire pressure should be is to rtfm. BMW has given an excellent starting point, they've even done it in psi, because the heard that Steve had a BMW. That starting point is remarkably close to what Bwucie has worked out with his seat-o-meter. I usually go for 33/36 psi (translated for Steve) sometimes a little higher in the rear tire. I get less tire life but more stickability. Seeing that petrol is about to go for the roof, I might just add a bit more (thankfully, it's still free). Overall, I have learnt that the bike rides much better with air in the tires.

This would be an R100 GSPD. I think Suzuki makes the bike you keep referring to. 1978_GS1000E_blue_470.jpg

I hope your house is ok. I am sure your job has been hell since the second one, so hopefully you have an intact home. I bet those pictures on tv don't do it justice.

My r80 doesn't even have a rev-counter. You'll feel sorry for the engine before you'll hit the red line :-).

Hehe, I think most of us just go and buy one off BMW. You only need one every 60000km, so it's not a major expense.

Thanks for posting that. Last year I watched the bikes up on a ridge from the Nikau Cafe, it a neat area and I would be keen to do the ride next year. Do you think it could be done on my R80?
