Thanks for making the effort. The pictures are great. The traffic must be horrendous in some of these places, a bit like Auckland I suppose  ;D

Thanks for the report. Looks like it has been a real adventure. Yes, pictures would be good. They are not that hard to work with. You do need a photobucket account. You upload your picture to photobucket. The copy the link and paste it in here. Job done.

Last time I ordered directly from Germany. I think Germany has 20% GST so that come off the top. It's been a while since my last order.

I'd say the Touratech online shop. The exchange rate is pretty good at the moment.

Just because you're up to your neck in fog, doesn't make you a southern man, Mr B.

I hate the cold. You should see how much insulations I've stuffed into our new place. I have a 35km one way commute. It can go down to low single digits and I don't want to arrive at worked dressed like the Michelin man. I'll leave the cold to the southern men.

Most sensible reasons. Do you know a about using “control +” to increase the size of what is displayed on your screen? I use it more often these days.

If I was any good with Lotto numbers, I'd be typing this from somewhere warm and exciting :-). I am the guy who predicted that Germany would never reunite in my lifetime, that was sometime in '88.

You read too much into this Malcolm. ;D Polls like this have entertainment value only. Once we get up to a couple of hundred votes we can make predictions. You know, I don't exactly lay awake at night wondering who rides and who doesn't. My prediction is that the newsletter will be around for a long while yet and my predictions are notoriously accurate  🙂

If I remember correctly, there would have to be a major swing towards an electronic newsletter before there are any savings. From memory, and these days it doesn't mean much, the price goes up for printing fewer copies. I am not sure what the deal with the postage is, it could be similar, though. We could identify the worst Luddites and print a few copies locally for them. This would allow such features as font size 16. The extra space needed for this could come from removing the rides calendar, as most of these people don't ride anyway. However, considering the recent growth of the "for sale" section, it may not work.

Works for me on Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. I seem to be using Chrome the most.

Downloading works for me, two clicks only. Here is the link.https://acrobat.com/app.html#d=Aja2aJV9vFtecgLJ3MLTiQand it's from this pagehttp://bmwor.blogspot.com/2011/04/april-newsletter.html

I am with Garry on this. If you want the newsletter when it was published,  join up. It still gets exposed to that same wide audience and still serves as an excellent advertisement for the register.  That, and the ferry discount can easily be used to justify a membership. Not taking into account all the other benefits.
