in reply to: Ohakea Museum ride – 9 July 2006 #6031
Great turnout. I thought only Auckland had the the big crowds. We had a good ride to Cooks Landing, including a short gravel section with the club’s newest Adventure rider. I may have to fill in two applications for the Kaipara 200.
in reply to: BMWOR website sticker #5860Peter Z. now has the stickers, so let him know if you still want one. Mine will bes tuck on tomorrow :-).
we’re off for a ride now, have 2 days off work, sun shining, what more do you want.
Just lost the soccer, very sad!!!!!!!
Alex fixed my side stand, needed a bit of an extention since it is tucked
right under now and hard to reach.
Hope this is the end of that, as you all know i am not the fastest rider, so nothing should scrape the ground.
Gerdain reply to: NZ visit was GREAT!!!! #5923Hi Jim,

Alexin reply to: Waihi Falls and Makairo Track traverse #6024I see I am going to have to move to Wellington, or perhaps I am just in with the wrong crowd. I wish I’d been there. Thanks for the report and the pictures.
in reply to: 1200GS Topbox #6003At least one other person here has lost their top box off an R1200GS. I’ll stay well away from these things and will keep plenty of following distance. 🙂
I wonder if I could use it as an excuse. "Officer, I had to pass the guy on the 1200, he has a top box, and we all know what they're like".
I hope the kit will solve your problem. I also hope they didn't charge you for it.I bet she would love to have a go, but her skill level will of course not be up to it, plus the low suspension of her bike is not really suitable for more than gravel roads. We will now be able to explore these roads together. Her bike has a nice pic-nic basket (top case) on the back and I am sure it will come in handy.
Cheers,
Alexin reply to: Abandoned weatherboard buildings -Post them here- #5041Here’s another for the collection, a house that many of the riders in the group have passed a number of times, and possibly never noticed. It’s almost right opposite Kopuarahi School, easily visible from the highway. I went past another one near here, but didn’t get a photo, as there was someone outside it. It would be best to photograph during winter, as there are a number of deciduous trees between the road and the house.
in reply to: NZ visit was GREAT!!!! #5920Got some snow photos from Jim, but have been too busy to put them up. Considering how cold it is around here at the moment they are very topical. That’s topical, not tropical 🙂
in reply to: First photo of the new r1200r #5986Did you snap those yourself :-). I hope it looks better in the flesh.
in reply to: T-Shirts Would you buy one? #5982I can do a red bike, but I still have to clear it with the T-Shirt printer. Couldn’t get hold of him tonight. If the printer doesn’t, I will have to draw a line, as this could become quite time consuming. My hourly rate is $0.

Howszat
Unfortunately I don't have this background in a high enough resolution.in reply to: T-Shirts Would you buy one? #5978I’ve got one here, hope you like it
in reply to: T-Shirts Would you buy one? #5976in reply to: T-Shirts Would you buy one? #5975It looks like the T-Shirts will cost no more than $35 per shirt. You will be able to choose from a range of bikes for the shirt. We will aim to add them to the regalia section if all goes to plan.
