in reply to: Looking for a loud horn #6565
The Gs only has a single horn, I need more noise.
in reply to: Abandoned weatherboard buildings -Post them here- #5058(It is a small download, about 4Mb from memory.)
How times have changed :-). Garry has suggested to put up a sticky on how to post pictures. I'll compile your suggestions and then shift the posts to the new thread, if you guys don't mind.

in reply to: Discount Tours for BMWOR members #6550I've mentioned it to Simon a couple of times. I'll give him a ring tonight about it.
in reply to: Replacement battery for bike. #6536If you are planning to drop your bike a lot the gel battery is better, otherwise the ordinary one should be fine. Has your one given up the ghost?
in reply to: Modifications: #6531True, but none of your options apply to my situation, so there is no point in voting 😛

in reply to: BMW Motorrad successfully contests Baja 1000 #6528Looks like they should have used a 650 and not disadvantaged themselves 👿
in reply to: Coromandel Adventure Ride #6519Looks like you guys had a great time. Fantastic photos. I find using a sidestand works for me. Bike's a bit heavy to pick up each time I want to stop. 😀 pot, kettle, black.. I know. You can't beat Coromandel on a good day.
in reply to: New Chinese Tow Trucks (?) #6513I can't quite work out what they're good for. I suppose if the bike could still lane split you could get through traffic alright. The Chinese cars must be breaking down al over the place.
in reply to: Whangarei Ride November 06 #6476We forgot to bring the sun tan lotion, didn't want to risk the bikes. I must say, Gerda did discuss the best approach to the beach. I think she's hooked 😀
in reply to: Abandoned weatherboard buildings -Post them here- #5049The one below near Kaukapakapa is about to fall over, the recent winds haven't been kind to it. I'll give it another year. Thge photo shows ho it used to look, now it's listing.
in reply to: Abandoned weatherboard buildings -Post them here- #5048Yep, some really nice onces are coming through now. I much prefer the older cottages to the more modern abandoned Bungalows. There are quite a number that I know of but haven't been able to photograph yet.I agree, they would make a good coffee table book. Our images lack the proper resolution.
in reply to: Oil changes #6455I have spent my adult life (until 2002 when I bought my first new vehicle) doing my own oil and filter changes and never have I found anything more than a little sludge around the plug.
Just shows you how successful the sump drain method is :-).
