Or... on, out. ::)You must have got in early Ken, by the time I came along they were starting at $30 with a buy now at $35 but hey whose quibbling even if they don't work they're still a well made item. Only problem I can see for us on bikes is in heavy rain. I always get a little damp around the neck causing which could pose problems??

in reply to: Unregistered, unwarranted ATV,s and Motorcycles #15826from http://legislation.co.nz/act/public/1998/0110/latest/DLM433619.html?search=ts_act_land+transport_resel&p=1#DLM433619Land transport Act 1998road includes— (a) a street; and (b) a motorway; and (c) a beach; and (d) a place to which the public have access, whether as of right or not; and (e) all bridges, culverts, ferries, and fords forming part of a road or street or motorway, or a place referred to in paragraph (d); and (f) all sites at which vehicles may be weighed for the purposes of this Act or any other enactmentkapeesh. why does Mr plod not enforce. Well its simple really. But many will disagree. "Common sense." Yes black is black and white is white and commonsense is grey. or said another way. "Not anally retentive"

in reply to: Unregistered, unwarranted ATV,s and Motorcycles #15823oh gee and here i was thinking someone had cheap 4 wheeler quad bike for sale that i could take to my beach place to ride down the beach when I saw the title of the thread, Rincey common sense doesnot prevail with certain government deparments. Why would ya put it on the price of petrol, that would mean user pays , that would be way to fair. Bloody hard to drive my 4 x 4 and motorbike at same time but I get to pay 2 regos.also get to pay 2 Lake taupo donations on my enviroment waikato rates for 2 properties. that really grates me.all our off road chook chasing mates when do they pay Acc levies.re stats when I worked on the Akl motorway if someone jumped off a bridge and hit road and died it was a sudden death (suicide). If said person jumped off a bridge and hit car and died it was a road death counted in road toll. I think they thought that there was a slim chance they may survive so the car hitting them killed them. Sounds like a Tui ad to me.
in reply to: R1150XX pivot bearings #15556cant pull the lube over your eyes can we
in reply to: R1150XX pivot bearings #15554Its a bit of mucking around if you are not going to take the swingarm out. I would suggest that you remove the rear shock that way the swingarm is not in the down position you can tie it up and get at the rubber boot which has a spring clip holding it in position. To put the shaft back on the gearbox end, start it on the spline have the swingarm level IE: the drive shaft as square as possible with the shaft grab a block of wood that will fit in the hole and give it a tap with a hammer should just pop back into position. Then you can move the swingarm and check it. It pays to put a white mark on the end of the shaft so you can line up the universals as best you can. I dont think the phase up correctly the splines aren't welded in the correct place for that but get them as close as possible.boGSer
easy bro use that thing called garvity. got a big tree near ya house. Park the bike near the tree and wrap a rope around the rear wheel. throw other end af rope over tree branch. Get two fat fellas (rotund will do) and ya self and hang bike in air with front wheel facing terrafirma.stand on stool or sit on Gerdas shoulders and drop driveshaft down the holeeasy ehhaw
