in reply to: Show us your Airhead #8325and you guys wonder why no airhead owners are interested in posting photos of their bikes here. I for one am not interested in giving ignorant people more ammo. We'll just continue polishing our primitive bikes in our darkened sheds.....
I'm not sure if this is a serious comment Nick? I hope I'm missing the humour somewhere between the linesĀ šMalcolm
thats what i like about forums, they show no feelings or body language. So why don't u go back to the oil heads forum and leave us demented sic people living in the past alone to polish our bikes. What a waste of time that is as everytime I ride it dirt gets on it.Ā šæ

hey Nick.ya can always hang out with that crusty semi crippled old bugger at Maungataroto who will out ride any person on a modern bike. Thats if he ant out on his boat of course. He or H always makes a bloody nice breakfast or lunch for unannounced visitors who turn up, even when they get him out of bed at 7.30am, and he is still cheerful. šP.S. if ya see him can u get him to finish off the bike in his shed that he is gunna sell me one day.Ā

in reply to: Trickle Charger, which one? #7758I bought a Deltran Battery Tender when I got my first bike with ABS.Ā It sits in the drawer unused at present because I had to get a fancy BMW one for the GS.Ā The Deltran was very reliable and you can borrow it for a while to see how it goes prior to purchasing if you would like.Malcolm
Thanks for that Malcolm. Noel has lend me his for the moment. How much do you want for the charger?
you can only contact ze BMV charger to the bike or it will be interbreed and we do not like the interbreeding
in reply to: Club ride to Pauanui #7736The weather report for my first official ride as Area Rep. had been favourable. However, I was still surprised when we had 18 bikes turn up incl. two with a pillion. After the usual briefing we were soon under way. JimĀ had supplied me with a Tiki tour route through the Hunuas and I managed to follow it without getting lost. Of course it helped that we were in radio contact for most of the trip. Oh, where were we going you wonder? The final destination was Pauanui. We were a long queue of bikes but managed to reach the destination without too much trouble, thanks to the pointing system. The feedback was that people liked it and they also enjoyed the back roads, thanks again Jim.We reached Pauanui on time and got ample parking just outside the American CafĆ©. The food was good and the company even better. Most people headed home the way we had arrived, apart from a small group of determined riders who pressed on around the top half of the peninsula. We had a great ride and the weather was fantastic. Peter and Christoph took the Miranda Road back to Auckland, while Gerda and I stayed on the main road. 300 metres from home we got hit by a short shower, but by then it didnāt matter. We pushed the bikes into the garage just as the last bit of daylight disappeared. On Motherās day it certainly helps if your own mother lives 20000km away and your wife enjoys riding as much as you doļ.Picture to follow, if you have one, please add it.Cheers,Alex[img][/img]
