in reply to: Two-up on an R1100S #10692I put 35 ltrs into it when it was finished. It has rebates at front so that it will fit with the original storage bins still in place on inner side of fairing . ..

in reply to: new member #10711have taken your advice and ordered a catalogue from Touratech AG.
u can search online. was not impressed with there tankbag i bought recentlyso sold it.. Buy from the cherman as they take off VAT. also tell them to pack as tight as possible eg pannier liner bags inside panniers as waste of freight you are paying for if they make a huge box
in reply to: new member #10709BMW luggage is a waste of time on the older bikes. Over priced, not big enuf with gimmicks. Good to see they finally woke up and on 1200 adv are using the decent stuff. Even bringing this from germany it is worth the cost. I am not that keen on top boxs as puts weight high up at the rear of bike taking weight off front wheel. Roll bag is better. I know not lockable but u reallyshould carry valubles with you. http://www.touratech.de

in reply to: New F800GS at Experience #10645I saw an F800GS, in black and yellow, in the flesh at Ruapuna on Sunday last. The mechanic from 'Rides brought it out and I had a sit on it. It looks awesome frankly, quite tall which suits my long legs but the main stand looks as if I made it, if you know what I mean. It's like a 1200gs on a diet, I've read a good article on them and they say the fuel economy is amazing. I think $20,000 is a bit steep especially when it was parked near a 2008 GSXR750 👿 that costs $16995 (full fairing and all that) anyway, I wouldn't say no to one. 😎
yeah but the technology difference between bmw & sudszuki, well ask yaself
