Hi Ken,Head lamps must be on all the time here too. And I think the cops in this country have bigger fish to fry than a couple of bikers. You know all those terrorists that are running around the states!! Unless they are on bikes too!Or bikers with loud pipes. Nah they just seem to ignore them alsoCheers, Jim

If it is of any help, I wouldn't ride after dark here in the states. Too many big critters like deer and in Maine, moose. I liked it in NZ. You keep all the big ones behind fences!!Hope you make it to New England. If you do, stop by for a visit.Cheers, Jim

Got Darryl and Paul to Boston yesterday. Bikes clean ready to go into crates. They did one last stop at MAX's for more shopping!! Any time fellow BMWOR want to visit Maine, the welcome mat is out!!

Darryl and Paul seemed to enjoy the start of their, except a dead battery.MAX took care of Paul. A good time was had by all at the Whitehorse Gear open house. http://www.whitehorsepress.com/  Free food does not hurt the attendance. Darryl commented that Hurricane Mtn  road would be better if it was a one way road. And there always room in Maine for visitors from the Owners Register. Unless I get back to NZ first!!!!Cheers, Jim

I guess I should add that the Gaspe is in Quebec along the St. Lawrence River. Beautiful riding. Reminded me a bit of NZ.

I live about 25k from Portland, Maine. Canadian border is about 150k from my house due north. I did nice ride with several other friends last month to the Gaspe Peninsula. I have attached a link from a friends site who take much better photos than I. Cheers, Jimhttp://mainuh.smugmug.com/gallery/8527188_t6fWr#569975913_jJR7F
