I agree that your prob is likely to be the splines.Interestingly the KiwiBiker forums are discussing the same issue. There are some good links there FYI.  http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=73704

Thanks for your comments and theories folks…….. but what I was really after was first hand feedback from others who have used the 021's.I've just found the following thread that provides info' on similar problems with the BT 020's.....  http://www.k-bikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7603 As far as I'm concerned I wont be in a hurry to use Bridgestone front tyres again.

I doubt whether it comes down to tyre pressure – but interestingly, BMW recommends the same tyre pressure for the K1200RS – whether riding 1 up; 2 up; or 2up plus luggage ….. ie Front 2.5 (36psi) and Rear 2.9 ( 42 psi) ….so that begs more questions for those that are used to adjusting tyre pressures to suit loads ???

My favourite has always been Zen and the art ……. but hey, don't forget 'Great Escapes' – a guide to motorcycle touring in NZ and the NZ Motorcycle Atlas…..no tour of NZ is complete without one of these books – but then again I might be a tab biased!
