    Hi all.

Thank you for all the replies. BMW NZ is issuing the certificate of compliance, so hopefully that is sorted. Only thing left to do is MAF and then off to VINZ for rego and lisence plate. MAF also have to clear my container with the furniture and bike together.

My bike was at BMW. The ABS unit was replaced at a cost of R20 000-00 (SA) or $4800 NZD. 😯
But with luck to me under the BMW guarantee!!!! 😆
    Hopefully that problem is solved

in reply to: Brake Pads #5418

I took my Adventure in for 20 000 km service. They informed me that the rear brakes of my bike need replacement!!!!!!!

I replaced the rear brakes with EBC. No problem so far.

My previous bike was a R1150GS. Trade-in at 60 000 km, 2 1/2 years later. with no problems on the brakes ( EBC ) on the front and no wear on the disk. The bike was traded with original rear brakes. 😆

Bmw advised me that the deterioration on the rear brakes was due to the EVO assist brakes. Mmmmmmmm........??
