    This one was a big one. Great weather which in part would explain the turn out. Standing on the pegs of my bike I took these photos in the stageing area

    I heard the queue was around 5K long and around $11K donated to the Trust, good stuff!!

    Yes it was quite a sight, Garry. I wonder if anyone has done the maths of how long the que would have been using cars or 4x4s.

    Having had first hand experience of the way many people drive these poxy 4x4s these days, it may be more appropriate to calculate the height of the pile-up 😕

    Ouch, I was waiting for that. Nasty episode in Hawkes Bay, and now word is OSH is looking at prosecuting the organisers of the ride for this. Things that make you go mmmmm..........

    I had forgotton that I took this one :-). Thanks, I am very proud of my pretty red bungy cords. Got them in Blenheim. The black ones are still on the ferry.
