    Its good to know there's a record of it with the mother ship.  I tried a couple of others too, including this one http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html which described my 1150gs as having a 'limousine' style body. I always suspected it was slightly better than everyone elses'.

    I suspect he put it there because of the double meaning. I you were wearing one, you wouldn't be seen dead...I got rear-ended by a car the first time I wore mine on a commute.
