Hey Bwucie (if you're listening),While you and the Librarian were swanning around the Mainland in your cage, Uncamoose made a few phone calls mid last week and rounded up 4 other bikes for a Sunday ride to Whangarei. First stop and roll call at Starbucks Westgate then off through Old North Rd/Peak Roads through Kaukapakapa to Wellsford for a leg stretch and chin wag. Headed North for a while before turning left at the Brynderwns. A short time later we turned right onto the much improved (so I'm told) Paparoa/Oakleigh Road before a regroup and stretch at the Whangarei Tourist Centre. We all enjoyed a lunch in the Museum car park and a quick zip around the neat little Museum before ambling back through Waipu and those flash-as seaside resorts before the customary ice cream stop at Mangawhai. By the way, Uncamoose also missed the left hander to Mangawhai as you did a week or two before. Suffice to say if you need to appoint a volunteer for this weeks' lunch run to the Salty Dog, may I offer to you Uncamoose. A strapping, fine looking lad from the 'kohe. Mind you he did tell me Snells Beach was somewhere near Parakai after turning left at the Helensville intersection !!!!! 😉

And I hope you are keeping up to date with the Vectra's adventures in the mainland, updated regularly on our homepage, 'cos I can.And if I fall off a mountain before I get home, you will all know where to go on 18th April, because Unca Moose took you on a trial run!

Now I am pleased to see no subsidance and a lane I don't have to share with oncoming tractors & 4wds ( riders were warned). 😀
