Traditional in the sense that I made the decision it would be so last year. ;DBut it's always a good ride, always has good food, and you get to see what other brand enthusiasts are riding (and hear how noisy some other bikes are!) This is a mid range ride, but still lends itself to oldies/littlies riders, just be aware that the Waikato can be extremely warm this time of the year, which could make it a bit more challenging if you are still at the tentative stage where you need to concentrate real hard.
