Quote from “President's Podium”, July BMWOR Newsletter:"On Saturday 21 July, I plan to be back on the road again and will meet up with our members from the Bay of Plenty at Peter Lyner’s place then the Waikato and Auckland members at the Ironique Café in Te Aroha on Sunday 22 July. I'm aware that I haven’t been able to get up to these areas yet due to other commitments. l’ll be joined by another member or two of the Executive — we're all looking forward to this trip as it has been top of the list for a time."Accompanying President Peter will be Secretary David. I booked space at Ironique (from 1130 on) when Rob Waters took us there for smoko on our "Longish Ride on a Shortish Day". Peter asked me to find somewhere accessible to him and David travelling from Tauranga, and riders from Auckland or Waikato wanting to talk to them - I already had a ride and venue arranged for the date, so my wife's "Almost Birthday Run" got hijacked, which is now gonna cost me an expensive dinner the night before.Peter asked me to arrange this right at the time I ceased to be Area Whatsit in Auckland, and by the time a new person accepted the role, this lunch had apparently fallen off the map. Anybody is welcome to jump on their scoot and turn up if they want to ask anything of, or tell anything to Peter and David. What would be helpful would be to have folk let me know, so I can let Ironique know, how many of you are likely to turn up for lunch. Either ring me 09 268 1321 (leave a message if we're not home) or blunderbruce@ihug.co.nzI have a ride leaving Caltex Bombay at 0930 if anybody needs a tour guide  😀

The President and Secretary will both be packing their panniers today for their trip to the Bay of Plenty and Waikato over the weekend, I would imagine. They'll be riding into doubtful weather, especially on Sunday, when they will be at Ironique in Te Aroha for lunch. The weather should not stop any members that wish to converse or consult with Peter and David turning up for lunch: they may get wet and cold, but you are welcome to turn up in a cage.

It's not the weather that's stopping me Bruce, I wonder how they plan to have any meaningful conversations or consultations with a group in a packed cafe on a Sunday morning.  Perhaps they've booked a private room?
