I found this link the other day that has a pretty good reference to a large number of the tunnels. There are a few missing but its one of the best coverage's I have seen.Hope any one planning a ride to the Naki finds this info usefulCheersColin

A good link about the tunnelsI have ridden through a few tunnels always makes an interesting ride and good roads to get to them.

They missed two North of Awakino (one in the gorge and one opposite the Pub) plus one out the back of Kohuratahi. Other than that they have been fairly thorough.Among the many other tunnels that are in Taranaki are logging tunnels. A fine specimen off these is off Arnold Road.Good to see they included water drives as well. There are to many of those too number! Dug by hand, men were men in those days

Took a couple of Australians for a ride and showed them some Tunnels yesterday. They seemed suitably impressed.Not bad jokers for Ockers  8)
