My Ninja Powers must be waning, I split this topic at the wrong post, and I can't remove the first post because that destroys the thread – boofhead, Bwucie. Hence the new edit to remove the irrelevant post and replace it with something else irrelevant, but less confuggling.

I hear you: I would have to create child boards for each area (which would necessitate me teaching myself how to) and I seriously wonder if it is worth the effort. Most of us (I think) tend to pull up the most recent posts on the Forum, and most of us can work out from the start points and start times of a ride if we can make it. (I wondered how useful the "Search" tool would be for this - not a good idea, just tried.)Also each Area Rep has access to a directory on the BMWOR web site that they can do with what they will (within reasonable limits). If somebody with a bit of web savvy wanted to whisper in their Area Rep's ear and start something local happening off the main website that's fine by me.But while I wait for the Sex Toy to maybe be repaired one day - month - year I will study up on creating child boards in case that is the wish of my masters that use the Forum.
I hope you put the rego on hold Bwucie, it must be about 3 months or more now ???

OK, I have created child boards for future posts to the Rides Calendar board. And I will use the Auckland one, in case anybody, anytime, chooses to use that method of navigation, rather than either follow the link from the calendar or pick up on the ride from the latest posts and then enter the event into whatever they use to jog their memory, be it phone, PIM app or (gasp!) paper diary.I am NOT creating child boards for Ride Reports, because I think most of us want to read all the reports: I have long lost count of how many other folks' stories I have read and thought, "Wow! I gotta add that one to my "bucket list"!"And the Sex Toy still isn't fixed, and no, YoungJim, I don't have the reg on hold, because I want no delay on the date it eventually comes back to my place: I want to ride it, cuddle it, and ride it some more.
Bwucie, that is great. Now we just need to encourage people to use them. THX.
