Gerda and I went to Kawhia to have some flounder :-). Sorry no pictures of the food, or the gravel ride there. The weather was a bit shaky at first, but nearer the destination it was a lot better. The gravel stretch was short, but enjoyable. My tyres have had it, and I was half expecting to get a puncture on some of the rougher sections. Kawhia is a neat place. A number of motorcyclists thought the same and had picked it as their destination. The road section home was great, much better when the sun's out than having to ride it in the fog, with a misted up visor. There is a food festival in Kawhia sometime in Summer. If possible I will schedule a ride there when it's on.A few pictures below.DSC05388.jpgDSC05389.jpgDSC05390.jpgDSC05392.jpgI've got only these for now, photobucket is being difficult at the moment.
