Got a puncture the other morning while passing an LPG tanker, in the dark/wet on the Mangere Motorway. Tyre went down real quick and concentrated my attention wonderfully. As I was fairly close to work, and I already had one plug in the tyre, I road it flat for the last few kms, a lot less exciting at 20 kph than at 100 in the fast lane! Arranged a ride home after work, and figured to take the wheel with me to get a new tyre fitted.Alas, alackaday: no can do. My toolkit appears to be complete, there are no gaps in either side of the tray, but there is no star-drive key for the rear brake caliper. So I went for the "B" option and took the trailer in today, now all fixed. Gotta get me a torx driver for those screws, or swap them out for allen head screws. And before anybody mentions it, it wasn't my string plug that came out, it was a new puncture, and I thank my lucky stars whatever I hit missed the front wheel, 'cos it made a ginormous hole. The string plug was still there, even after being run flat.
Supercheap sells sets of torx wrenches ::) ::)

(I've worn more than a few out)I think it's a great service you do us all by collecting all the sharp detritus on the highway and keeping us all puncture free, keep it up !!!Fate is probably now looking down on me from above and thinks I'll teach this smart arse a lesson on the way home tonight !!!!Bad luck Bwucie,I don't think those bits of rubber are particularly cheap either, just bought a part worn Tourance front for Binky from Phsycotreats for $70.00 bucks as a spare which has plenty of meat on its bones. They sell the used ones off their rental bikes on Trade Me. (but shhhhh don't tell anyone)
