Hi All, I’m shortly going to update my Bike. I’ve narrowed the selection down to either a new ST 1300 or a 2nd-hand R1150RT. Having ridden both I’m leaning very much towards the RT. As I own an old K100LT, I’m not fimiliar with the R’s, so is there anything to watch out for when purchasing one. Any advice would be appreciated. Many Thanks, Ian Thornton 2036. 😀

Boxer vs K, Ian, no contest. The twins have more quirks, idiosyncrasies and foibles than the fours = more fun.
I don't know why it took me so long to get on to one. By Helen her own machine and get yaself an S, hell with the RT. I get more smile to the gallon outta the eleven hundy than I ever got out of the LT: it's almost as much fun as my ratbike 250 was.
    How's the Snailways?

Thanks for the help. I’ve ridden a 2001 R1150Rt down here and LOVED it. I’m heading up to Mt Motorcyles tomorrow to ride one of the ex-Kea Rental bikes. Then to see Henry on Saturday to ride an RT there. I see what you mean about them Brucie, butt it will be an RT not an S for me.Troll Rail still ticking along. Milk Twains start at the end of August, so I’m enjoying the quiet time at the mo. Cheers, Ian. 😆
