I raised the tank, took out the battery, topped up the terminal levels, put the battery back in and now my digital clock keeps resetting itself back to zero when I turn the bike off!  Help!

Have you tried doing the whole disconnect thing again?

Have you cleaned the terminals properly? I've used a small file on mine. They should be greased with something like Vaseline as well.

No and no, I'll give both those ideas a try.  If this help the diagnosis, I just went out to the garage turned on the ignition (Clock read 0:00 again) put in the time again, and then made sure the minutes were ticking by and tuned off the ignition.  The clock remained on and then disappeared after 2 seconds.  When I turned on the ignition the clock had gone back to zero.  Doesn't the clock on the GS remain on all the time?

I had the same problem with my GS. You should be able to purchase a fuse from any auto supplies shop. They don't tend to have the same type of fuse as fitted to the bike (fuse wire exposed). This doesn't effect anything though.If you can't find one let me know and I'll send one in the post to you. I had a friend who was an electrician. He handed me heaps when I left the UK.
