    hi  ive just replaced fork seals on my r1100r but am having trouble with the front forks topping out ihave  the correct amount of fork oil and the correct weight as what the haynes manual says but still having trouble  it seems the front end doesnt like potholes which is rather sad since most nz roads are full of them any help would be greatly appreciated  thanx.

    The fork oil in these forks are for lubrication only. Most likely your shock absorbers have seen better days. If they are older than 40000km, the would have deteriorated quite a bit. I'd say after 60000km they'd be pretty much stuffed as far as comfort goes. However, you may want to check the the pre-load setting and have a play with the rebound setting.
