I recently used a CRC product called Mag Wheel Cleaner on my LT bike rims and it worked very well. It's has a non acid formula and is suitable for all wheel coatings/surfaces except HYPER crome. The product is in a spray can and when applied foams up. I then used a wheel brush to get into the spoked areas, applied a 2nd coat of foam then washed off with a garden hose. The rims have come up almost like new. Before you ask, no I don't work for CRC but I though I should share this as it worked well with little effort.
