Whatever one feels about past or present BMWOR executive I have to say I'm disappointed at the statement from our president that we have finally got an executive “who will go the extra mile”.  No matter how far and fast the incumbent exec will go the implication that all past executive members were not willing to go the extra mile is uncalled for and short sighted.  Condsidering its relatively narrow focus, the Register has been growing and evolving steadily since the early 70s and maintains a healthy membership and offers most members good value for their dollars and support. Previous executive who gave their time freely and willingly to bring the club to it's present status did so with a genuine desire to do their best for the club. There is nothing to be gained from making comparisons, the facts will speak for themselves........

Slight miss-quote there. No where in the “Presidents Podium” does Peter say “finally we have got…” he simply says “having an Executive who are willing….” To be honest I think Peter and his team are doing a fantastic job. For instance I believe that Peter has already visited every area since taking on the presidents role. I know for a fact that he has attended 2 of our Rangitikei rides plus at least one of our monthly tea meetings. As far as I am aware I don't think this has ever happened before. Certainly not in the years I have been in the club. Go Peter!!!
