Yes, finally US based Garmin are releasing a motorcycles specific GPS (like TomTom have done with the Rider). Called Zumo, it’s feature rich, and all designed for motorcycle riders.
The Garmin Zumo is sturdy and vibration proof, and is of course waterproof. The GPS is equipped with large buttons so that you can use it with your gloves.
Furthermore, the unit is equipped with Bluetooth, so that not only you can receive directions wireless inside your helmet, but it will also interface with your mobile phone. You'll be able to receive instructions from the GPS, or even talk via your mobile telephone.
The Zumo, once programmed with your gas tank capacity and gas thirst, will calculate how many more miles you have left before you need to start pushing your motorcycle. It then routes you to the nearest gas station !
Using a additional memory card, you can listen to music via the Bluetooth interface, and you can even load your track and then view it later in Google Earth, since the tracks/routes are stored in a format that can be displayed in Google Earth.
It's not going to come cheap! Expect a list price around US$ 1,000, available in October
