Well not only is BMW bringing out a whole range of bikes that are transforming the image of BMW. They've now playing with two wheel drive as are KTM and Yamaha. KTM recently produced 100 2wd bikes for enduro events. So here's the F800 2wd that BMW have been running. Could we be seeing a 2wd F800GS in years to come.http://www.thebikergene.com/dirtbikes/bmw-races-a-2-wheel-drive-f800-in-european-hill-climb-championship/Bikergene and gizmag are interesting websites.Interesting times. Beyond the additional increased traction off road, track bikes are dramatically quicker in the wet when set up as 2wd.

The writer of the article is unsure how the front wheels are driven. It seems pretty likely to me from the two giant black hoses that they're using hydraulics… at a guess. The Christini system mentioned is what KTM use. I wonder how the bike would have gone with Pfeiffer on board.

Hi I had a closer look at the photo. 😮  😆 The front wheel has a sprocket and chain which is hydraulic driven. It is not to bad for a home made back yard job.  😕 Have a look at the rear wheel that to is home made 😮Cheers Hentie
