BMW have announced the F700GS as the replacement for the F650GS, and an updated F800GS. Photos and specifications on the BMW web site.http://www.bmw-motorrad.com/com/en/index.htmlThe F700GS gets dual front disc brakes, more power, and optional electronic suspension adjustment and traction control (ASC).

Just heard from Motomart that they are due in NZ Sept/Oct this year so I booked me a test ride!

Can you swap all the goodies over Neil? or does that mean another round of aftermarket shopping ;D

Seeing that the F700 has also 800cc they could have called it a 750 :-). Maybe that's the next upgrade. The new one will be a lot better, I am sure. The brakes were borderline good.

Hi Malcolm & Dave, from the look of the photos I think most of the shinny bits will transfer but will used parts look appropriate on a new bike?!

Just waiting to hear back from Motomart Re the actual cost with the bits I want before I place my order on a F700GS. Not sure what colour to get. Perhaps the “helpful” amongst you might want to offer your ideas?

Don't know what the options are Neil, but that red one looks the business but I guess you want a change.

Red is nice. It looks like it is slightly different to the current red.

According to BMW's web site the colour options are:  muted Red Apple Metallic, masculine Ostra Grey metallic matt and dynamic Glacier Silver metallic.I can't find photos on their web site, but you can see the 3 colour options at:http://www.mcnews.com.au/2013_Bikes/BMW/BMW_F700_F800GS/index.htmMy preference would be for the red one. In second place probably the glacier silver.

Well done Arne, my pick would be the red too.  Not too keen on either of the options but for a real neat colour this one takes some beating  😉P5250131.jpg

I'm over red and I'm leaning towards the “Dynamic” Glacier Silver, a much nicer colour than that bike of your's Malcolm!

Yeah it is pretty ho hum but then beggars can't be choosers eh. Anyway I'm colour blind as well as deaf so it hardly matters.  😮Just in passing how's the weather down there? pretty grotty up here, if the Pres and entourage have finished answering all those questions they'll be needing their waterwings I should think.

I'd go for the mud colour… but then I go for dark colours every chance I get (that way they all match  😉 )
