    You may be referring to me, perhaps, Richard?Just a bit of an update: an F800GS with 40K km less on the odo was the agenda after 3yrs. This 'new' one has only 3.5K km and is 10mths old. New to me, though!  😀Cheers - Peter

    Peter, when my Strom turns up, as an old hand at the game, can you give me some instruction on getting in and out of carparks via the curb, footpath and nib wall?  I wanna learn these arcane off road skills..................

    Gee Brucie i hope you don't get a hard kick it might send you back 20 years to when jumping stuff with your bike was the only way you could fetch the cows in :-X 😀

    Agreed, but they haven't flanelled or held out false hope right from when I ordered it. I know one or couple BMW buyers have had some long waits, an'all.  It happens when you are at the end of a long logistics chain.Coulda bought another bike too, but I want the one I want................  (Although much longer than end of April and a 2013 is starting to look attractive.)As for the wharves, if the ship does come to Auckland, POA reckon it will be all over, Red Rover, by then.

    I feel much better after reading your saga Bruce.  I ordered a Trax pannier kit for the GS well over a month ago.  They said 2/3 weeks delivery.  After 3 weeks no word so called, “sorry industrial action at Frankfurt airport” after 4 weeks “sorry they were loaded on an oversize pallet and couldn't get on the plane”.  After 5 weeks “sorry stuck in Singapore should be in ChCh on 21st”  If they don't get here then we'll have to take the other bike to Wanaka. Ah well at least the rain might have stopped by then :-Update 4.26pm same day.  Just got home to an email saying SW Motech order has arrived in ChCh but no Trax pannier kit for F800gs  >:( Watch this space....

    I hereby propose that all events such as this be classified as examples of the “Cullingworth Concept”.  You have to be an Auckland BMW Rider to truly understand the greatness of Dick's Concept.And another great piece of science:"Shredded cabbage, carrots and mayo go well together."  Cole's Law. ;D
