Going riding with bunnies tomorrow, metal roads are anathema to them (which is why they have long floppy ears and little fluffy tails). (And probably shouldn't be allowed near motor-sickles, but they got the money, if not the sense.)Could someone please tell me how much metal is left between Bridal Veil Falls and Kawhia? It's a magic road, and while the Eleven-Hundy-Ess or rider are not afraid, some of the bunnies can't handle any more than 100 metres of roadworks without panic setting in.Could be I have to go there by the main drag from Pirongia.

Well, the road from the Bridal Veil falls onwards is blocked by a slip and requires a detour through a creek. However, the alternative, where you don't turn off left towards the Bridal Veil falls, but carry on towards Kawhia, has lots of gravel and a few loose sections at the moment. I would not take gravel newbies on road bikes through there, unless I wanted some entertainment and perhaps have them stop talking to me. Other than that, the road is a hoot and highly recommended.

Roger that, Alex, ta.The entertainment is appealing, but I guess my mates like their tupperware to stay shite and briny, so I won't go that way, eh?
