Snuk in a mostly fine ride today, winding through twisties all over South Auckland to get to Maraetai. Excellent training for Wendy on the mighty 250, and good fun for those of us on bigger bikes. My second rider on each corner to direct the rest alternated regularly between Tony on the ST1300, Jason on the Triple Trumpet, YoungJim on the 1200 Chook Chaser and AGD on her GSR650. And they all had happy faces, too!At Clevedon we encountered this bug, that looked like it was imported from Haight-Ashbury in the mid sixties.Alex and Gerda were at Maraetai in their cage, waiting to be disappointed, as we all were, by the fact that today was the last day of trading for Two Turtles and a Grumpy Fish, the business having been sold. Naturally, as they are closing this avo, they only had enough tucker left for those who had booked. We were rescued from our tizzwazz by Tony O', who led us up to Pine Harbour Marina for a great lunch, in a great venue: PepperJacks. My sister is trying to convince Rusty to quit BMWOR, and had him decked out in a Suzuki cap. From Pine Harbour we headed for Botany, for Dunkin' Donuts as an aftermatch. Jason and Shah headed for home, but the rest of us split a dozen of the best between us.YoungJim lost his doughnut virginity: sorry Jim, there's no morning after pill for that, you can never go back, now.Whoops, nearly forgot. Gerda did her "eat your pudding without eating your meat" thing again. She's on my homepage here: http://is.gd/eJh58.Even on unlikely days, you can have fun, and food, with motorbikes.

Pleased to hear y'all had a good one. I spent the day learning how to remove and replace the rear light assembly on the C 😡 put it on three times before I finally got all the bits together. Then I set about fitting an accessory socket and blew the fuse 🙄 and after all of that the gals lost the bloody net ball.

Big thanks to Bwucie up front and Uncamoose from behind for getting us all there and back safely. Also a big “well done” to Wendy for braving the conditions – your riding has improved out of sight.Cheers, Herr Baron
