    I have opportunity to buy a secondhand dual seat from overseas which is said to be off a R1100RT (probably '94-'01) or possibly an R1100RS('92-01).  I would like to compare an RT/RS with my '97K1100LT to check compatibility before I commit to the purchase.  Is there an owner within reasonable riding distance of Auckland willing to let me look at their bike for this purpose?  TIA.  ph09424.8352 or email

    Hi BryanThe seat/s on the 1100RT were individual and I think the seat on the K was a combined seat! you may be aware of this and be proposing to adapt but if not be warned.Malcolm

    i have an R1150Rt if that is any help? although i am in Whangapoua(coromandel) so if you feel like a ride around the loop sometime, call in. 🙂
