    Saturday 16th APRIL at RaglanCelebrating 35 years of the motorcycle that defined Adventure Riding, open to all brands.The magazine that kick started adventure riding in New Zealand is again combining with BMW Motorrad NZ to bring you a true big-bike friendly event, the BMW GS Rallye. Ride HQ is the Raglan Club, right in the centre of this picturesque seaside town. Organiser of the event is Kiwi Rider magazine with the support of BMW Motorrad NZ.     Was wondering about it, but I've already gone back to road tyres, so rather than do sealed rides, it might be more fun to do the others, but then again, if it's all public access stuff I could do it any time… hmmm

    HI GremlinI think its more about getting and seeing all the gs bikes and who owns them, the ride itself as u say can ride anytime without the crowds .

    The Hot Rodders are coming to town as well so Ya better book Darryl unless Ya tenting.Got a Tourist flat/cabin at the camping ground .motels are up around the $150 p/n  range.

    Take the other brand machine: Harley boys are tough, they just curl up in their drizabone and sleep on the ground.

    Hi Richard and BrucieHave just booked into camp ground 5 of us .Brucie I don't own another brand, but I do have 3 x BMW GS so will still have to decide which one to ride I will also be riding with some non BMWs a vstrom,dr650 and a yamaha virago .

    so intrepid OR members and GS enthusiasts, is anyone else keen to do this event?I'm planning on doing it - gravel and mild adventure elements - at least that's my intent as I don't plan on dropping my R1200GS too many timesBe great to have the company of some like minded GS enthusiasts within the RegisterI plan on tenting or back packing in Raglan - keen to share accommodationCheers Oaters aka Aslan
