Listening to the news this afternoon and heard a report quoting Len Brown as suggesting Aucklanders offer spare room in their homes for Christchurch folk who have suffered in the quake. We have a couple of spare bedrooms and would welcome any enquiries from members or their friends or relatives who may want to take some time out from the devastion and try to regain some sense of calm.We also have a couple of bikes and one could be made available in case folk felt like doing some sight seeing up here. We will make this offer on the Ulysses web site as well. Malcolm and Jean GibbonsMalcolm.Gibbons@xtra.co.nz09 4822451
Resene Paints is accepting tinned food donations into their ColorShops. The donations will be sent to Christchurch for those in need. Please spread the word and help where you can – every little bit helps. Cheers, Ingel
Anyone using a West Pac Master Card may be interested to know that Hot Points can be donated for a cash value to the Sallies ChCh aid. Simple and painless way to donate. Plus going to the sallies I know it will be used where it can do the most good ;DWas in ChCh 24hrs before the Quake, rode Port Hills, Tunnel, Sumner, Red Cliffs etc. Joked about having lunch in the RSA. Stood and admired the Cathedrel.Got off the bike to refuel in Murchison next day and the earth moved. 😮We dont know how lucky we are 🙂

That's not too dusty of them at all, Rincewind.I've taken note of your self identification, and have changed my records to note that you are no longer to be considered as a first generation New Zealander. At least you are doing better than the Librarian, who is a stateless person.
