I was trawling the internet in a moment of boredome and came across a company called Tyredog in Australia who make a gadget that replaces your schrader valve with some kind of sensor which gives you a readout of your current tyre pressure via a hand held wireless remote !BMW and Mercedes both have it as standard, but in a limited reporting system. It is based on internal sensors that replace the valve stem, expensive and hard to replace in a retro fit application. We do quite a lot of “replacements” for these as the tyre guys are still new to having to be careful when replacing tyres and break the valves! FYIOur next generation models which are about 18 months away will be “Telemetry” integrated, we have been working with Navman Wireless for the last 12 months to create a universal platform, not only providing “Event” warnings but also “Data Logging” for the Heavy Transport industry. We should be able to have CANBUS integration for the new vehicles also to allow our system to display the data directly via the vehicles on board computer.Current model for a motorcycle retails at $250.00

Do they read in megapascals, bar or psi? I can just see me hooning down the back straight of Pukekohe Raceway watching the tire pressure grow! LOLRRDT

The BMW system is temperature adjusted (ie, never gives you the real value).I assume this system is straight pressure?
